Spectus’ Safe launch and St Gobain Rebrand
Now that the country seems to have got back to work after yet another short week, this weeks Glazine features a new product launch from Spectus Systems as they take the plunge into the hardware market with their Safeware range. Designed to make a fabricators life easier, a choice of over 200 items is available.
Rebranding seems to be in vogue this week also, with St Gobain announcing a complete make over of their range of conservatory glass. The BFRC have also got in on the act, with a retitling of their DER’s( Door Energy Ratings) to DSER’s (Door Set Energy Ratings). You can read why here.

BFRC Door Energy Ratings become Set Energy Ratings
BFRC has announced that from 1st June 2012 its Door Energy Ratings (DERs) are to be known as Door Set Energy Ratings (DSERs). This is to bring terminology within BFRC’s own Door Energy Ratings scheme in line with classifications used by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) in its recent 2012 Consultation on Changes to the Building Regulations in England: Section Two - Part L (Conservation of fuel and power), published 31 January 2012.

Hurst supports 'The National Self-Build and Renovation Centre
Composite doorset manufacturer, Hurst Plastics has agreed a new twelve-month deal with the NSBRC (National Self-Build and Renovation Centre), to sponsor one of its life-size building exhibits.
The Yorkshire based organisation agreed to support the NSBRC exhibit, which is a life-sized model of a renovated house, by supplying a made-to-measure composite door. In addition, the company has also supplied an interactive touch-screen monitor, which allows visitors design their own doors styles.
