LUXURY PATIO DOOR IN DEMAND

JELD-WEN has reported huge demand for its premium folding sliding patio doorset, the Oak Canberra, with home improvers looking to enhance and add value to their homes.

The Canberra was one of the first sliding folding patio doors to be introduced into the UK. It is manufactured from solid oak laminate, which is Chain of Custody certified timber to ensure it originates from well managed forests with strict reforestation programmes.   Its robust 54mm thick door leaves can be supplied either unfinished, for buyers to decorate to their own tastes, or factory painted or stained to enhance its appearance and prolongs its lifespan.

Energy efficiency is a key benefit of the Canberra, which is supplied with a standard specification of 24mm Low-E insulated glass, ensuring it is compliant with Part L and ensures thermal efficiency.  However, customers are able to upgrade this specification to achieve an even lower U value down to 1.3W/m²K with gas filled triple glazed units, which improves energy efficiency even further.

Another recent innovation to the Canberra range is the addition of attractive white Venetian blinds which are permanently sealed within the double-glazing cavity of the patio door, offering a stylish additional feature and even greater convenience.  This increases privacy, keeps the living area warmer in winter and helps prevent solar gain in summer.
