New Winmac machines for
Prizma Windows factory
6th June 2012

Following a major fire in August 2011, which caused severe damage to its original factory, and destroyed 70% of the building and machinery, Prizma Windows have invested in machinery from WINMAC UK.

This includes a SCHIRMER BAZ 1000-G6 cutting and machining centre with features including: Automatic “Tool-break” detection system on all routing units, profile optimisation, 6-axis routing module, 3-High-Speed CNC saw blade capable of producing Mitre / Arrow-heads / “Y” – cuts / 90 degree / “V” Notches and a Special Milling Unit for “V” notches from the opposite side. Also included is a Telephone Modem link for continual support.

Also included was the “NEW” ROTOX EKA 574 CNC Transom, corner and Crucifix cleaner, which has the ability to clean a crucifix in one cycle and also carry our rear machining for ease of outer frame coupling, a very popular ROTOX SEK 503 “X” Welder and the ROTOX SMK 505-4K In-Line 4 Head Turret combination Welding machine.

For the Aluminium machinery, Prizma were keen for WINMAC to complete all of the project and as a result WINMAC also supplied an EMMEGI Classic Star Computerised Double Mitre Saw with digital angle readout on each head, automatic profile height measuring and adjust system and a label printer, together with an EMMEGI T3A CNC Routing Centre with 8- tool changer, Automatic Positioning Clamps, Bar code reader and many more features.

Software support from1st Degree Systems also played an important part in this installation.
