Since the launch of the eco-i spandrel panel, by TuffX Processed Glass, the company has seen significant interest in the insulation product specifically designed for curtain walling projects.
Available exclusively from TuffX the eco-i spandrel panel offers huge benefits as a niche product in the UK for the architectural and curtain walling markets.
The eco-i spandrel has an insulating core between two glass panes which provides u-values as low as 0.14 with an overall thickness starting from just 28mm that will fit directly into existing glazing systems.
For installers the product provides many advantages as additional internal building works are eliminated once it has been installed. It can be screen-printed in most ral colours and with insulation values that conform to DIN 4102-82 non-flammable.
As the core insulation is positioned between two glass sheets the eco-i spandrel panel eliminates the need for additional plastering and painting work, so projects appear as good from the interior as from the exterior. As labour costs are considerably reduced this has impressed many architects, specifiers and installers when budgeting a project.
Due to its slimline appearance more product can be loaded for despatch at one time which reduces the number of required deliveries which at the same time cuts down carbon emissions.
Graham Price, Managing Director at TuffX comments, “We can provide a cost effective alternative for curtain walling projects with the eco-i spandrel panel which is proving increasingly popular with architects and specifiers, giving them more scope thanks the versatility of the product and its sensible cost.”
