Roto buys Canadian company
As part of a policy of internationalisation, Roto Frank AG announced the takeover of Canadian company Fasco.
The manufacturer of window hardware, rotary bolts and handles for sliding doors and windows, reportedly achieves annual sales revenues of just under 10 million Canadian Dollars (CAD). The strategic purchase of Fasco represents a significant contribution towards the continuous further expansion of the position that the company has carved out. The company’s range is concentrated mainly on the lower, price-sensitive market segments.

Bright Future for Norwich Double Glazing Firm
Norwich-based Uniglaze can look forward to a healthy future, one year on from being rescued from the brink of collapse.
In the spring of 2011, a fortnight away from going into administration a re-financing package brokered with a local partner and existing shareholders kept the firm afloat and saved about 300 jobs in the process.
Now, a year on from entering that CVA (creditors’ voluntary arrangement) the firm continues to trade from its premises alongside the A47.

GGF Reviewing the Next Steps for Green Deal
The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) have set out secondary legislation that will give industry the green light to bring the Green Deal energy efficiency market into operation, alongside measures to strengthen consumer protection, reduce industry burdens, and implement the Energy Company Obligation (ECO).
DECC is confident that Green Deal programme will help bill payers make energy-saving improvements to keep their homes warm and more energy efficient. With the Green Deal, people will be able to pay for some or all of the work done with the savings expected to be made on energy bills. ECO, a subsidy from energy suppliers, will provide extra help for those most in need and for properties that are harder to treat.
