We Have Email

Dear Tony

We read with interest emails over the last few weeks in The Glazine welcoming the publication of the latest Approved Conductivity Values for spacer bars recently published by BFRC.

BFRC is pleased to be able to supply the window industry with clarity about this highly technical issue and provide a level playing field for all manufacturers and suppliers in this sector.

However, BFRC wants to stress that a determination of a spacer's thermal properties is a very complex field. A material's thermal conductivity is not the only factor that affects the thermal performance of a spacer bar.

DECC is confident that Green Deal programme will help bill payers make energy-saving improvements to keep their homes warm and more energy efficient. With the Green Deal, people will be able to pay for some or all of the work done with the savings expected to be made on energy bills. ECO, a subsidy from energy suppliers, will provide extra help for those most in need and for properties that are harder to treat.

FIT Show launches the Sales Professional of the Year Competition

In a bid to seek out, recognise and reward those at the sharp end of the window, door and conservatory industry – sales people – The FIT Show has launched the Sales Professional of the Year competition in association with sales lead generator Quotatis.

For too long (and often justifiably) the butt of sitcom humour, it is now appropriate, believe the organisers of The FIT Show, to raise standards and create a sense of pride amongst those who deserve to call themselves Sales Professionals.
