MILA INVESTS IN IT RESOURCE

Mila has appointed Darrell Hill to the new role of IT Infrastructure Manager, with a brief to maintain and improve the performance of the IT operation throughout the business.

Darrell, who has more than 15 years experience across a range of industries in IT support and development, is responsible for all of Mila’s hardware, servers, networks and IT security.

Previously this role was outsourced but, in line with its policy of continuous improvement, Mila has taken the strategic decision to switch this resource in house so that it can deliver improved response times and a more efficient, reliable and robust service.

Darrell’s first role has been to develop a new intranet at Mila which will speed up internal communications and in turn help to improve communications with customers.

Darrell is one of seven new recruits to Mila in recent months as the company strengthens its position in the hardware sector. Appointments have also been made in warehouse management, Quality Control, internal and external sales as well as Key Accounts.
