Doormaster is ‘Lock Replacement

Hardware specialist VBH claims to have the ideal product for any company involved in the repair and maintenance of doors fitted with multi-point locks.
The Yale Doormaster range is now a standard stock line at VBH and is said to replace up to 90% of 35 and 45mm backset multi-points incorporating top and bottom hooks or dead bolts and 100% of those with just roller or mushroom cams.
This means that repair professionals with Doormaster on the van can carry out most lock replacements immediately, without the hassle and expense of obtaining the exact replacement lock. As many locks currently in the field have long since been discontinued by the manufacturer this can sometimes be an impossible task and if a source is found, a premium price is usually charged by the lock stockist.
VBH claim that the three Doormaster options solve these problems.
‘Universal’ is a one piece lock that features mushroom bolts only. VBH’s biggest seller is ‘Professional’, a three-part lock incorporating top and bottom hook and roller combinations. Depending on where the extensions are cut the top and bottom lockcases can be positioned to sit in the existing routing of most door locks. A third version, ‘Adjustable’, requires no cropping and is aimed at the competent DIYer so can be sold through trade counters and websites.
All Doormaster multi-point locks have a 10-Year guarantee and are supplied in a box complete with striker plates pre-fitted with ‘uni-packers’ (to fit all PVCu profiles without the need for additional packers), fixings, split spindle and full installation instructions.
VBH Marketing Manager Gary Gleeson states ‘We are constantly receiving requests for door locks of all makes, shapes and sizes to replace those that have failed in use. Whilst we can supply like-for-like in many cases, this gets harder as time goes on so it’s no surprise that Doormaster has been so well received by the maintenance sector. Doormaster is lock replacement made easy.’
Doormaster also encompasses overnight locks and replacement gearboxes for many of the most historically popular locks.
