Anglo European have started to supply Fitrite, a division of Sash UK who manufacture low maintenance PVCu decking & fencing. The Anglo steel is used to reinforce the balustrade handrails, which run along the decking and can include glass panels as well as the traditional uprights.
The company were able to fabricate the steel reinforcement to the exact specification required by Fitrite, ensuring that it fits snugly inside the handrail profile and meets all the requirements. When the uprights are fitted in, they can be secured through the profile and direct into the steel, giving an extremely strong fixing.
“One of the key elements of using Anglo for our steel supply was their extremely efficient turn round and delivery times, as well as their no nonsense attitude to solving any problems”, comments Steve Ward of Fitrite. “Since we have been dealing with Anglo, we have been able to speed up our production and cut down on our delivery times”.
The Balustrade can go unnoticed, but it is an important part of Fitrite’s product range, and meets the present health and safety and building regulations, using the right reinforcement is an important factor. “When you are offering a 20 year guarantee with your products, you have to make sure that all the elements involved in the manufacture are up to standard”.
“This once again demonstrates the flexibility of the skilled workforce at Anglo European and our ability to quickly produce a bespoke reinforcement”, comments James Lister, operations director at Anglo. “Coupled with our fleet of eight 18-tonne vehicles, and nationwide delivery on a 72-hour turnaround, has given Anglo an unrivalled service level, which is why most of the main fabricators in the country have been using us for many years”.
