Comp Door says it is the first composite door supplier to achieve BSI Kitemark to BS 8529:2017 and PAS 24:2022 standard of enhanced security and weather resistance.

Technical director Pierre Mifsud said: “I think what really stands out to me about this certification is that it is achieved by such a new company. We’ve always concentrated on innovation, and I have always known that our team have an extensive amount of industry expertise, but achieving this has shown that our hard work is being recognised by those across the sector.

“We’re the first to achieve this, and I’m so proud of the fantastic team at Comp Door that made this possible.”

Lorraine Balch, Certification Manager at BSI added: “By applying the Kitemark to their doorsets they are demonstrating that they are wholly invested in providing their customer base with consistently performing quality products.

“It was fortuitous that the new version of the PAS 24 standard was issued just before their product testing was due to start as they were able to ensure that all the latest changes were included within their test regime.”
