An industry-wide round table on the proposed changes to Part L of the Building Regs is to be hostel by AluK  next Tuesday (5 October)with guests including representatives from Saint-Gobain, Maco, Emplas and the GGF, as well as a building control consultant and London-based architect.

Together, they will consider what impact the new Part L might have on the shift towards triple glazing, what changes specifiers are likely to make to ensure that their developments comply, how the new Part L will be policed, and the implications for both fabricators and installers.

The debate will take place at the AluK Design Studio in Shoreditch and will be reported online and in the trade press and will be available direct from AluK as a downloadable podcast.
