It seems the three peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon weren’t enough of a challenge for the fundraisers of Conservatory Outlet – the team have upped the stakes this year with a plan to take on all 24 Lake District peaks in just 24 hours.

The ‘24 in 24 in ‘24’ challenge will see the team, led by CEO Greg Kane, take on Scafell Pike, Helvellyn, Haystacks, Great Gable and 20 other named peaks in just one day, taking on 28 miles with over 4,250 metres of elevation.

Last year, they raised over £13,500 by taking on the National Three Peaks for Macmillan Cancer Support and Prospect House Hospice https://www.the-glazine.com/?p=9740 . And now they aim to top that for this year’s chosen charity, Mind.

“After the success of last year’s fundraising efforts, we had to go even bigger,” Greg explained.

“This will be an incredibly tough challenge for us all. It’ll be as much of a mental challenge as a physical one but it’s something that we’re all looking forward to. We yet again have a fantastic team taking part, with participants coming from across the United Kingdom to help raise money for our charity of choice this year, Mind.”

Founded in 1946, Mind is one of the most prominent mental health charities in England and Wales, offering information and advice to people with mental health problems and working to raise public awareness and understanding of these issues, as well as campaigning to improve the nation’s mental health services.

Greg added: “Mental health issues can affect individuals and families in so many ways. Unfortunately, research shows that one in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year.

“Mind does fantastic work and their work is incredibly important. We trust that you’ll support us in our efforts!”

As well as Conservatory Outlet itself, the team is made up from Premium Retailers: Clearview Home Improvements, Eden Windows, Mitchell Glass, TradeMark Windows, Amber Home Improvements, West Yorkshire Windows, Trent Valley Windows, Orion Windows and TWC Home Improvements.
