Eighteen participants from the Conservatory Outlet Network have completed the gruelling National Three Peak Challenge in under 24 hours, raising over £13,500 for charity.

Team members from TWC Home Improvements, 5 Star Windows & Conservatories, R Mitchell Glass, Trademark Windows and Eden Windows scaled Ben Nevis (1345m) Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1085m) in succession, the total ascent topped 3046m in under 24 hours as they had pledged earlier this year https://www.the-glazine.com/?p=8834

Due to the blistering hot weather conditions (topping 28 degrees) the trip was adjusted to avoid the warmest parts of the day, and rendered the group’s waterproofs, fleeces and hats redundant, even in the early hours of the morning. After spending 23 hours climbing or travelling between peaks, the real challenge was on to descend Snowdon with just an hour to go, with participants racing towards the finish line with seconds to spare.

Conservatory Outlet CEO Greg Kane said: “This is something that we’ve collectively wanted to do for a long time.  I’m so proud of each and every one of the team – we vowed to complete the challenge together as a single group. That meant we had to work really hard as a team to support and help each other, which made the achievement all the more special for us all.

“It’s taken an immense amount of hard work and training from the team, as well as time commitments away from the business, and we’re all so delighted to have achieved this together – memories that will last a lifetime.

“Most importantly, we’ve raised a phenomenal sum for charity, and would like to offer huge thanks to all our friends, family, customers and suppliers for supporting us – it really means a lot.”

Proceeds will be shared between Macmillan Cancer Support and Prospect House Hospice, with a total of £13,500 raised across three Just Giving pages.
