Former Solidor DW3 marketing head Gareth Busson has joined GAP, the Lancashire-based Rockdoor manufacturer and trade counter chain operator, in the newly created role of commercial manager.

Gareth, who also previously worked with Winkhaus and Assa Abloy, said of his new role: “It’s clear for all to see that they have invested heavily in recent years to future proof Rockdoor and give it a firm platform in which to grow again, so the timing was 100% right.

“I look forward to working with the team here at GAP, to firmly establish Rockdoor as the leading door brand in the UK, one that customers can truly rely upon.”

GAP joint founder Simon Bird added: “We’ve worked hard in recent years to improve Rockdoors performance. With the addition of Aluminium reinforcing – and of course the recent switch back to Rehau. As a result, we feel that the timing is perfect to build upon this momentum and make Rockdoor a truly national brand.

“With Gareth’s knowledge, passion and leadership skills, we are confident of a successful future for both GAP and Rockdoor”.

GAP operates around 80 trade counters across England Scotland and Wales as well as manufacturing its Rockdoor composite doors and Homeframe brand PVC-U windows and doors at its Blackburn factory and HQ.
