Performance Doorset Solutions (PDS) Doorsets has transformed its online presence thanks to a brand new website designed and built by the team at BM Group company The Consultancy.

The Northern based business meets the needs of residential, commercial and trade customers across the UK with bespoke fire and non-fire doors tailor made to the exact specifications of each project.

The development brief from PDS was that the website needed to work effectively for trade and commercial customers – generating leads across the board and providing a valuable knowledge resource centre. They wanted to create a simple but informative journey for all to use.

The front end of the new website educates visitors about the PDS product range and the many points of difference that make them stand out in a crowded doors marketplace, whilst also promoting the social values the PDS team promote and the charitable work they continue to be involved in.

That front end works equally well for trade and commercial customers. They are led to a dedicated trade section where they can view relevant information on deliveries and lead times as well as technical and marketing support. A direct call to action encourages trade customers to register with PDS in order to access the digital resource centre, which includes everything from product certifications to installation guides.

Peter Lancaster, Senior Creative at The Consultancy, says that websites targeting different groups of customers are very common in this marketplace, but the real skill comes in creating a clear and effective customer journey for each group.

He says: “The new PDS website has genuine appeal and value for trade, retail and commercial customers. From the creation of the initial site map to the individual calls to action, we have made sure no single group is prioritised or overlooked, and we’re already seeing increased levels of engagement and leads from each.”

Kerri Ellis, Commercial Manager at PDS, is delighted with the new website and impressed by the approach of The Consultancy. She adds: “What really stood out for us was The Consultancy’s innate understanding of our products, our markets and our different customer groups. That made them really easy to partner with on the project and meant they brought valuable insight which has helped deliver an even better result than we had hoped for.”
