Yale has appointed three new design engineers, extending its existing teams at Willenhall and Cheltenham.

Ed Phillips is the most recent addition. Ed has an academic design background, gaining a first-class degree from De Montfort University where he studied product design. This is his first role in fenestration hardware design.

Ed said: “I’m proud to be working for one of the world’s most recognisable brands. I’m eager to learn from my experienced and knowledgeable colleagues and hope I can offer a fresh skillset to upcoming projects.”

Jon Lester and Jessica Bell both joined the team earlier. Jon has previously been involved in product design, engineering, and innovation across a wide variety of sectors for over 20 years. Jessica’s prior role was as a product design manager for an electronics company, designing smart home products, domestic electrical power solutions and commercial LED lighting.

Managing director Paul Atkinson said: “Our technical teams at both Cheltenham and Willenhall are second to none. Adding fresh thinking from other design-led industries gives us further innovative and creative ideas, helping us to maintain the highest standards, both for quality and certification, upholding our market leading status.”
