Former Olympian athlete, TV presenter and Kriss Akabusi MBE has been announced as guest speaker at this year’s Glazing Summit Dinner.

The event’s founder Andrew Scott said: “We want our dinner guests to not only have a wonderful fine dining experience but to leave inspired.

“By combining his experience of self-motivation and attainable personal development, Kriss is sure to deliver a rousing speech in his own unique, inspirational and engaging style – our guests are in for an absolute treat.”

The Glazing Summit Dinner will be held on the evening of Tuesday, October 18 in the Edgbaston Banqueting Suite and is expected to bring together more than 200 of the industry’s leaders for a champagne reception and four -course gala dinner

Kriss Akabusi won the 400 metre hurdles gold at the 1990 European Championships, was part of the gold medal winning 4×400 relay team at the 1991 World Championships, and amassed three Olympic medals. After his athletics career finished, he went on to TV, including a full-time position as co-presenter of the BBC’s Record Breakers.
