Veka Recycling, has announced three appointments at its Wellingborough plant, which is now fully operational.

Gavin Reay was appointed as Business Development Manager, with plans for the role including the development the operation’s client base to obtain a higher yield of post-consumer frames and off-cuts.

Magdalena Miler joins the company as Quality Engineer. Magdalena brings experience in areas such as quality visual inspection, customer liaison, product and process auditing, continuous improvement and training, all gained in her previous roles working for a large automotive company.

Rai Szymanski has been promoted to Yard Supervisor after working for the operation for three years. Rai, who operates the crane and Telehandler, is responsible for accepting all incoming material for onward processing through the site, as well as the smooth loading of all vehicles departing the site with its recycled pellet on board.

Managing director Simon Scholes said: “With our brand new, state-of-the-art plant now fully up and running, the arrival of Gavin and Magdalena – and Rai’s well-deserved promotion – further reinforces our future development plans. All three have been specially selected for their talents in their respective fields, and their appointments are significant in helping us continuously improve our recycling operations going forward.”
