Lincoln fabricator and installer of bespoke PVCu and aluminium glass and glazing solutions, Tradeglaze, has begun manufacturing and supplying Ali VU aluminium heritage-style doors. This new product marks a significant expansion of the company’s already impressive portfolio of cutting-edge glazing solutions.

The introduction of the Ali VU aluminium heritage door follows a substantial investment of over £500,000 in advanced machinery over the past year, underscoring Tradeglaze’s commitment to innovation and quality.

“The Ali VU aluminium heritage door is a testament to our dedication to providing secure, aesthetically pleasing, and thermally efficient solutions for both renovation and new build projects,” says Daniel Dickson, Aluminium Manager at Tradeglaze Group. “Developed with the latest glazing technology, this door offers a beautiful heritage look combined with advanced thermal efficiency, achieving U-values as low as 1.0W/m²K.”

The Ali VU aluminium slimline door is designed with versatility and style in mind. It comes with a variety of options to suit different architectural styles and preferences, including two different transom designs and a selection of heritage-style handles. The door also offers inward and outward opening options, and is available in both single and double configurations, accommodating a wide range of opening sizes with four different threshold options.

These doors are engineered to support both double and triple glazing, offering superior thermal and acoustic performance. Key features include a 68mm frame system, a robust design capable of handling leaf weights up to 125kg, and door leaf sizes up to 1200mm x 2500mm. The Ali VU heritage aluminium door also meets the stringent security requirements of PAS24 for external use and is designed to be compliant with current and future building regulations, including Document L.

Sustainability is at the heart of the Ali VU aluminium slimline door’s design. Made using recycled aluminium, this door provides an environmentally friendly solution for eco-conscious clients, contributing to a sustainable, low-carbon design.

“As glass and glazing technology continues to evolve, it’s essential that we offer our customers the latest in innovation. Our new door option not only enhances the visual appeal of projects but also supports sustainable, energy-efficient construction,” concludes Daniel Dickson.
