CPI Ltd, the independent organisation set up to administer the Code for Construction Product Information or CCPI, has announced Amanda Long as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Amanda, who was instrumental in starting up the CCPI, follows Steve Marr, whose time as Interim Chief Executive comes to an end. Steve will remain supporting CPI Ltd in the role of Interim Chief Operating Officer.

Amanda has previously worked as an independent consultant for the Office for Product Safety and Standards and has engaged regularly with construction product manufacturers as well as other parts of the construction value chain throughout her career.

She said: “I’m incredibly excited to be back working on the Code for Construction Product Information. It’s clear this scheme will be a crucial step change for the industry and fundamental to its success in the new regulatory environment which lies ahead. I look forward to engaging with more construction product manufacturers, as well as distributors, clients, and contractors to ensure the scheme delivers real value in terms of building safety.”

CPI Ltd Chair David Topliffe added: “It’s wonderful to welcome Amanda back to CPI Ltd as our new Chief Executive Officer. She has substantial knowledge of the sector and will bring real dynamism and flair to the role.”
