Epwin installer Oswestry Windows and Doors says it has secured a number of large installs after it invested in Virtual Reality technology to show its products to potential customers in their own homes.

Owner Matthew Dunne-Smith said: “VR technology is proving transformational for us. We have secured several large-scale domestic installations because it’s given our customers a completely new dimension for visualising their home improvements that completely blows their minds.”

Virtual reality creates a virtual scene of a completed installation with Every detail, including furniture placement, featured, giving consumers the opportunity to walk around and see exactly how it will look from the inside and exterior.

One Oswestry Windows and Doors customer reported: “We saw the drawings and they were absolutely amazing, but putting the VR goggles on brought the whole project to life and just made us say ‘Yes, we want to go ahead right now.”

Oswestry Windows and Doors provides refurbishment, renovation and construction services throughout Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid-Wales. It supplies an extensive portfolio of Epwin Window Systems products, including Optima PVC-U windows, PatioMaster Sliding Doors, Vertical Sliding Sash Windows, Flush Casements and windows and doors from Stellar Aluminium.

Matthew concluded: “The quality and range of Epwin’s portfolio is superb, and the product differentiation and visual appeal allow us to secure lucrative high-end jobs. Our investment in VR lets us take our design and customer services to the next level. Customers can really visualise how their home improvements will work because they feel as if they are in the room.”
