Emplas has appointed Jon Tudor to the new position of commercial manager north to head up its new dedicated commercial operation in the North of England.
Jon joins from Newlook Windows, where he was latterly Commercial Director. Prior to this he worked in manufacturing roles with Per-Fit Windows from 2001 to 2006, giving him direct experience in manufacturing, installation and contracts management.
“Coming to the role from the background that I have is a definite advantage,” he said, “I’ve worked with a number of different housebuilders but also have worked on site, in trouble shooting as a service engineer, to contracts management roles.
“I understand what housebuilders need from supply partners but also have an understanding of the things that make projects run effectively on site.”
Managing director Ryan Johnson said: ““Jon has an exceptional understanding of the new build sector, literally from the ground-up and that means that he speaks the same language and fully understands the challenges and opportunities that exist for housebuilders.”
