Modular Group Investments (MGI) has announced yet another acquisition with the purchase of 100% of the share capital of £12million-sales IGU manufacturer Oakland Glass, along with the promise of further acquisitions to come this year.

The purchase, for £2.25million, marks the fourth expansion in fenestration manufacturing in two years, adding glass processing to its earlier inroads in to PVCu and aluminium fabrication https://www.the-glazine.com/?p=4442.

MGI founder Michael Garratt, pictured, said: “I am very excited to add Oakland Glass Ltd to our Group and to have the opportunity to build upon what the team has created. We look forward to a promising future together – MGI plans to acquire more componentry manufacturing business this year in order to continue to diversify our product portfolio, but also to strengthen our customer relationships by offering more products and service.”

This will allow us to supply our multiple construction markets with the best service and most competitive solutions in the industry.”

Amanda Falsey will be continuing as Managing Director at Oakland and Tina Moorhouse will stay on as Sales Director.

MGI says its the goal is: “To make a positive contribution with the UK offsite and modular manufacturing sectors and across the diverse SME supply chain of mission-critical components in synergistic markets.

“MGI continues to develop a buy- and-build strategy, which will focus on the offsite/MMC sectors and components, but recognises the scale and opportunities to also supply the traditional construction sectors.”
