A Bluetooth-based key safe that can be opened by smartphone app has been launched by ABUS of Germany.
Access can be granted temporarily or permanently to users so that guests, carers, or maintenance teams can access as required. Access can be scheduled in advance via the Android or iOS app which will also send tamper and low-battery notifications. A digital numerical keypad acts as a back up if no phone is present.
