Victorian Sliders, manufacturer of PVCu sash windows, has been named a finalist in two categories at the G24 Awards, the UK glass and glazing industry’s most prestigious event.

The company has been shortlisted for the Sustainability Initiative of the Year award for its groundbreaking “EcoPVC Revolution” project, and employee Ben Jones is a finalist in the Rising Star category.

The “EcoPVC Revolution” initiative showcases Victorian Sliders’ commitment to sustainability. The company has invested in a state-of-the-art PVC recycling plant, achieving 100% recycling of their own post-industrial waste and reducing their landfill waste by 75% in the first year. This circular economy approach has reduced the company’s reliance on virgin materials by 30% and recycled over 30,000 tonnes of PVC since June 2023.

Ben Jones, nominated for the Rising Star award, joined Victorian Sliders in April 2023 as Supply Chain Manager. In just 18 months, he has made significant improvements across supply chain, logistics, and recycling operations, demonstrating exceptional leadership and innovation.

Heather Guitar, Marketing Manager at Victorian Sliders, commented: “These nominations reflect our commitment to sustainability and talent development. We’re incredibly proud of our ‘EcoPVC Revolution’ initiative and the impact it’s having on our operations. Equally, Ben’s nomination is a testament to the exceptional talent we nurture at Victorian Sliders. His contributions have been instrumental in improving our processes and driving our sustainability efforts forward.”

Heather added: “These G-Awards nominations are a fantastic recognition of our team’s hard work and dedication, and they further motivate us to push the boundaries of excellence in our industry.”

The G24 Awards ceremony will take place on November 29th at the London Hilton on Park Lane, where the winners will be announced.
