Federated Windows & Doors Ltd, formerly Rea Metal Windows Ltd, has been placed in creditors voluntary liquidation.
Joint liquidators Alan Fallows and Allan Cadman were appointed last week for the Liverpool-based Steel Window Association member and a voluntary winding-up notice was posted.
Rea Metal Windows came into being in 1906 when Daniel Arthur Rea began manufacturing the new fashion of metal casement windows in a former rice mill in the city.
Its website lists many prestigious installations in the UK and further afield. Products include a range of steel windows and doors including fire resistant products.
