Deceuninck has launched a new Carbon Calculator, which allows window companies to work out their headline carbon footprint using their existing metrics.

Managing director Rob McGlennon said: “The Deceuninck Carbon Calculator allows you to input key metrics that you’ll already have to hand, for example your annual energy usage or fuel spend and work out your headline carbon footprint in an easy-to-understand dashboard.

“It also pulls in the data that we have as an upstream supplier to fabricators and installers, so that as we work to lower our carbon footprint, the carbon footprint of our customers also goes down.”

The company has made a headline pledge to cut the CO2 emissions from its own operations (Scope 1&2) by 60% by 2030 from a 2021 baseline.

Cutting emissions by 21% last year puts Deceuninck, which last year won the G-Award Sustainability Initiative category, already ahead of target.

“The Deceuninck Carbon Calculator enables installers and fabricators to short-cut that process while recording the metrics that they need to be able to evidence.”

Deceuninck has also provided guidance on how companies can lower their CO2 emissions and how a more sustainable approach can help them win more business.
