Coastal Group has developed the Duratique range of black antique look hardware coated with electrostatic polymer over a base of cast stainless steel to prevent rusting.

“We all love the look that’s achieved with black antique hardware,” said managing director Loren Jenner, “But in the past it often comes with an apology that rust and droopy handles are inevitable. It was a great project for our new product development team who got stuck in to finding an alternative.”

The Duratique range is said to address issues including hardware rusting and failing, inconsistent finishes, handle droop and spindle rattle.

All fixings and components in the range are also stainless steel Handles have been successfully Salt Spray Tested to Class 5. They are independently tested for durability, to BS EN 12217, achieving 200,000 cycles.
