Veka has signed a supply deal with Everest, giving the extruder a second major gain in the wake of the defunct Duraflex factory.

The contract with the £51million-sales retailer comes only weeks after Veka scooped the contract to supply all the PVCu profile to Duraflex owner UK Windows & Doors Group (UKWDG) following its decision to close its own extrusion business https://www.the-glazine.com/?p=9751 .

Everest says it chose Veka as its PVCu extrusion partner for its manufacturing capabilities, technical specification and product innovation, but adds: “It was the systems company’s people, quality standards and green credentials that really stood out.”

CEO Paula Chambers said: “Everest is a company committed to meeting the Government’s Future Home Standards even for replacement windows, so we can help UK homeowners reduce their residential carbon emissions.

“For over 50 years the Everest brand has been synonymous with premium quality and we aspire that every Everest window installed from the end of the calendar year 2023 will meet and exceed all new building standards for both new build properties and replacements.”

Last month, Veka signed an exclusive five-year contract to extrude the profile for all UKWDG brands after it announced the closure , including the SafeChoice Partnership and trade supplier Sevenday as well as its existing deal with the timber-alternative Evolution division.

UKWDG’s decision to close its Duraflex extrusion division came soon after Safestyle dropped the supplier in favour of Liniar https://www.the-glazine.com/?p=7546.
