Staff at Rapierstar donated a trolley full of presents to support retailer Dunelm in its ‘Deliver Joy this Christmas’ campaign for disadvantaged children and adults around its Stoke-on-Trent unit.

The initiative gave members of the public the opportunity to donate a gift anonymously by picking up a tag in the Dunelm store with details of the present requested from somebody in need in the surrounding area, including age, gender and Christmas gift wish. These requests could be individuals from underprivileged schools, refugee centres or elderly care homes.

Project manager Helena Furness, pictured, said: “Our business is very lucky to be in a position to help those less fortunate, which is especially important at this time of year, so getting involved in the Delivering Joy this Christmas campaign was great. We are passionate about supporting those in our local community and hope to do more charitable activities throughout 2023.”

A member of the Rapierstar team visited the store to collect a number of these gift tags from the ‘Delivering Joy’ tree so the team could set to work organising gifts and wrapping them up.

In addition to getting involved in the Dunelm campaign, the Rapierstar team has also raised money for East Cheshire Hospice. Donations were raised by staff taking part in a number of festive activities including swapping their blue Rapierstar workwear for Christmas jumpers and Santa hats.
