Apeer has announced a £160k investment in a new Emmegi machining centre and a new mechanical saw.to boost production of its Silka doors and its Lumi aluminium window products.

Managing Director Asa McGillian said: “Quite simply, we need to make this investment in machinery to keep up with the enduring popularity of our Silka doors, along with the consistent and growing demand we’ve seen for our Lumi Aluminium range since its launch last year.

“Future proofing our business by investing in the factory processes and machinery is the best way we can ensure that Apeer and Lumi are able to meet future demand for these products.”

The investment in machinery will benefit production of the Lumi Aluminium and Apeer Silka ranges. “But this investment is not just about meeting demand while ensuring our high standards of quality and craftsmanship are maintained,” Asa added, “It’s also about preparing for the upcoming developments we have planned for our Silka range which we hope to be able to divulge soon!”
