Epwin Window Systems has boosted its foiling capacity with the purchase of a second Luna R automatic profile lamination machine.

The six-figure investment is part of the company’s long-term strategic plan and continuing investment in colour technology, as managing director Clare O’Hara explained: “The demand for our coloured products has risen exponentially and has resulted in this latest investment.

“With colour being a key driver in architecture, we introduced our new Colour Collection earlier in 2020. This Collection reflected the latest trends in colours across our PVC-U systems with a range of traditional, contemporary, metallics and designer-influenced hues.”

In 2019 Epwin became the first UK company to take delivery of the Luna R lamination machine. The second machine is expected to be up and running at the Telford-foiling plant this month.
