Veka Recycling is celebrating its second award nomination this month with a shortlisting in the G21 Awards shortly after being placed in the finals of the National Recycling Awards.

The company was selected as a finalist in the Best Sustainability Initiative category of the G Awards in recognition of the completion of the firm’s £15 million Wellingborough facility. This adds to the company reaching the finals just a few days earlier of the National Recycling Awards, in the Recycling Facility of the Year section https://www.the-glazine.com/?p=4041 .

“This is very exciting news,” said managing director Simon Scholes, who has managed the project from conception to its completion after a two-year build, in December 2020. “Our team has worked incredibly hard to bring this complex project to completion, especially with the challenges posed by Covid-19. But we did it, and we are delighted that we have reached the finals of these two awards.”

Veka Recycling is joined by its sister company Veka plc which also gained a nomination in the Sustainability category as well as in the Covid-91 Business Hero category.
