Fire resistant glazing specialist Promat UK has announced Harlow-based MD Glass Partitions as its Glass Installer of the Year Award winner.

MD Glass Partitions provides an extensive range of glazing services covering all aspects of partition glazing, glass doors and architectural glass. It has partnered with Promat throughout and today is a recommended installer of SYSTEMGLAS® fire resistant glazing systems, the Promat PYROSEC® Doors range and various other fire glass products and systems manufactured by Promat.

Amongst the projects that MD Glass Partitions has delivered using Promat systems last year was Kangaroo Works in Sheffield. This involved the installation of two large Crittall-style fire rated glass screens within the communal area of a major new apartment scheme, plus two fire rated glass door-sets. Using Promat SYSTEMGLAS® Ferro plus the PYROSEC® Slimlite door system, MD Glass Partitions provided an extremely visually appealing result, with assured EI (integrity and insulation) protection of 30 and 60 minutes as specified.

Richard Lawrence, Operations Manager at MD Glass Partitions, said: “We’re really pleased to be named the Promat Glass Installer of the Year. It is a real honour for us given that Promat work with so many excellent glazing contractors across the UK, so we appreciate their recognition of our work and how we go the extra mile, particularly in fire rated glass projects.”

Stephen Malkin, Promat UK’s sales manager for glass added: “Congratulations to the MD Glass Partitions team and thank you for your efforts during 2024. We rely on our recommended installers to complete our supply chain and enable clients to realise the full benefits of choosing Promat SYSTEMGLAS® and all our other systems, so it is reassuring that MD Glass Partitions have the expertise to be able to complete projects to consistently high standards.”
