Mila has assured customers that deliveries will be taking place as usual after staff worked throughout the weekend to secure alternatives after the demise of Tuffnells on Friday.

Now, says ops and program director Oliver Burgess, the only difference will be the name on the vans and the slightly earlier next-day order cut-off time of 3.30.

He posted in the company’s site: “Following the news of the administration of one of our delivery partners, Tuffnells on Friday 9 June, Mila has already acted swiftly to put in place alternative delivery solutions via our other freight partners at CCL and DPD.

“We’ll be introducing new IT protocols internally over the coming weeks so that our system interfaces directly with DPD, but in the meantime, we’ve put additional resources into our order processing and warehouse teams so that we can do this manually without any impact on our overall efficiency.”

Everyone at Mila has been fully briefed on the changeover and what it means for customers.”
