Five members of ‘Team Tradeglaze’ raised £1,254.00 for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance when they joined more than 2,500 runners in the the City of Lincoln 10k race.

The fabricator’s employees used to run Lincoln 10k every year before the pandemic stopped the event. This year, they returned, finishing as the 4th competing team overall, and amply exceeding their target £1,000.

The bright yellow LNAA ‘ambucopter’ regularly flies over Tradeglaze offices to land at Lincoln County Hospital.  In 2022 the LNAA had its busiest year ever, responding to more than 1,620 incidents.

Marketing manager Katerina Pickup, who took part in the race, said: “None of us think that they’ll need a critical care team landing by helicopter to save their life. But the crew attend on average four life-saving missions a day. Their selfless work means that those critically ill patients have the best chance to survive.”

“We are really happy that we have been able to run the City of Lincoln 10k race and raise such a great amount for the LNAA, who continue providing life-saving missions, all with no direct government funding and made possible only through the generosity of supporters.”

We would like to give a special mention and thank you to the personnel at the Standards and Evaluation Unit and 51 Squadron based at RAF Waddington for their generous donations and their support and encouragement in the run up to the event.”
