Epwin employee Nathan Standley is aiming to raise £2,000 to support his favourite National Trust property when he takes on the London Marathon in April.

Nathan has run a few 10km races for fun but says the London Marathon is a bucket list item for him.

“I’ve been lucky enough to gain a place through the National Trust,” he said, “The National Trust are involved in nature conservation, the fight against climate change, the promotion of sustainability, preserving our national heritage, and working with local communities to make sure everyone benefits from the places they look after, and that they’re welcoming to everyone.”

All the money he raises will go to Attingham Park, an estate in Shropshire. He explained: “We have been visiting Attingham, as a family, for over 20 years. It has 4,000 acres of land to explore and is a great place to lose yourself for a few hours.”

Nathan is head of ICT at Epwin Window Systems and information security officer for Epwin Group.

Epwin Window Systems head of marketing Gerald Allen said: “Everyone at Epwin Window Systems wishes Nathan the very best of luck. I’ve personally been involved in a few endurance events with GM Fundraising and I know just how much work goes into training for something like this.”
