ODL Europe has completed further testing on its Guardsman FD30 fire door from the UKAS Accredited Fixed Scope test to BS EN 1634-1 and results showed the door exceeded a 60-minute burn time.
Managing Director Bryan Bultema said: “Clearly, the burn times demonstrate superior performance with exceptional overburn.
Bryan commented: “We wanted the Guardsman to deliver on performance without compromising on style. By testing various construction options, we can give customers, contractors and specifiers more design choice.”
BS EN 1634-1 is the more demanding test standard required by Part B of the building regulations. The tests covered various glazed and unglazed doorsets, further expanding the range of construction methods and glazing options that can be used with the Guardsman Fire Door to achieve a certified 30-minute fire door set.
