CMS Group, one of Scotland’s biggest PVC-U and aluminium fabricators has been placed into administration.

The move was posted earlier today on official websites that CMS Enviro Systems Ltd, trading as CMS Group, of Castlecary, Cumbernauld is now in the hands of joint administrators Lyn Vardy and Jonathan Marston of Alvarez & Marsal.

CMS, working predominantly in the commercial and new-build in windows, doors and façades but also with a trade division, operates from a 25,000sqft manufacturing unit in East Kilbride as well as its 15-acre Castlecary site. It was established in 2006. In 2019, the company became subject of a management buyout at which point it was projected to hit £40million sales.

As well as its trading, the company was proud of its environmental credentials; in 2020 it celebrated achieving zero landfill for three years and had won awards for sustainability and stewardship of the wildlife at its sites.
