Trade fabricator Modplan has added seven new Mercedes 7.5 tonne trucks to its fleet.

Logistics manager Gareth Gough explained: “We needed to increase our fleet to support the rise in demand for our products. We also took the opportunity to replace some of the older vehicles in our fleet too. With the price of fuel continuing to rise to eye-watering levels, it makes good business sense to invest in newer, more economical vehicles which are better for the environment and better on fuel costs.”

Managing director Heidi Sachs said: We’ve seen exceptional demand in the past two years and despite the challenges faced across our sector, we have continued to invest throughout our business. The investment in our logistics division reflects our ongoing commitment to exceptional service across our wide-ranging product portfolio. The new Mercedes lorries are modern additions to our established fleet and will ensure we continue to deliver our commitment to our customers.”
