Barnsley-based Euroglaze, has appointed Glen Park as Operations Director and Emma as Finance Director, both from existing roles and they both now become shareholders in what had been a family-owned business since 1979.

Glen has been with the business for many years and was the driving force behind the fabricator’s implementation of lean manufacturing techniques and philosophies. Emma joined in 2017 and has helped to oversee the investment in a new factory alongside the existing one.

Managing director Martin Nettleton, pictured, seated, says the move reflects the fact that Euroglaze has transitioned over recent years into an employee-based organisation, shaped and driven by its workforce.

“Glen and Emma have both shown extraordinary commitment, determination, and leadership,” he said, “particularly over the past two years when we have pushed ahead with a major expansion programme despite the Covid crisis. The business was strong with them as part of the management team, but I think it’s even stronger now with both of them on the board.

“They will be helping to drive the strategic direction of the business and shaping the way that we move forward post-pandemic. Like many owner managed SMEs in this industry, Euroglaze is at the point of planning for its future and I think expanding the board, rewarding talent from within and empowering others to help make decisions will make that future very exciting.”
