Kestrel Home Improvements used Epwin vertical sliding sash windows to replace deteriorated timber windows in an apartment development overlooking Kings Hill Golf Club in West Malling, Kent.

MD Mark Ramsey said: “We weren’t the cheapest contractor, but we offered the authentic window solution the residents wanted. We were able to offer sash windows that maintained all the building’s original aesthetics, including the arched detailing on four of the windows. The competing contractor had proposed making the arched windows square, which might have been simpler but would have compromised on the building’s aesthetic appeal.”

Some 32 PVC-U frames, including four with arched tops were fabricated Mercury Glazing Supplies.

All the windows were white on both sides and featured run-through horns and astragal bars to retain the aesthetics of the original windows.
