Senior Architectural System has announced a number of upgrades to make its powder coating facility more sustainable.

By using new gas burner technology and insulation materials, the company will be able to significantly reduce the gas consumption required for its powder coating process. It has also installed an automated profile handing conveyor system which will work with the powder coating technology from Gema that is already in place to further boost productivity.

These investments follow the IT process updates that have recently been made to Senior’s vertical powder coating line, giving it greater flexibility of the pre-treatment and curing capabilities of its vertical powder coating line as well as contributing to lower gas usage.

The company says the new upgrades will improve both the operational and environmental efficiency of its powder coating facility and will also help increase capacity. It can now also provide a new ultra matt powder paint coating from Akzo Nobel as a cost-effective alternative to anodised aluminium.
