Aluminium solutions from Senior Architectural Systems were used by contractor Elite Aluminium Systems for the Terry Frost Building, a new £30 million student accommodation development in the heart of Leeds’s university hub.

The façade was based on the SF52 aluminium curtain wall system alongside the PURe range of windows and doors. This range features an expanded polyurethane thermal barrier for thermal performance, Part L compliance and ultra-low U-values. The Terry Frost building was designed by architects Howarth Litchfield Durham and built by main contractor GMI Leeds on behalf of developer Alumno. Managed by student accommodation provider Prestige Student Living, the scheme  provides 411 en suite rooms as well as communal spaces including a lounge, study spaces, gym, games area, café bar and rooftop biodiversity garden. The building’s ground floor also boasts a studio space to support local artists, complete with a kiln.
