Wind of change
We may have felt no wiser from the last couple of weeks of mixed messages about who should be working, not working or for that matter somewhere in between. But there is very little doubt about the way the wind is blowing this week as the feeling is towards a gradual and guarded return to work by many in the industry. It remains to be seen whether this is driven more by positive signs of response to lockdown measures or boredom and frustration at the social stagnation that has come with it but it is definitely happening and many will be watching with a mixture of enthusiasm and apprehension over the possible outcome.
Elsewhere, we have a very positive response from many companies that are doing their bit to support the frontline workers, whether it is by reallocating resources into PPE manufacturing or saluting one of the era’s doughtiest heroes with a showroom display unlike no other.
Within a week, things may be very different yet again so until then, stay safe.
