CMS WINDOW SYSTEMS has seen its 14-year sustainability strategy formally recognised by the Institute of Directors (IoD) Scotland with a shortlisting in a new award category for the man behind the strategy, support services director Martin McCrimmon.
Martin is a finalist for the first ever ‘Social Value & Sustainability Impact’ award in the organisation’s 2020 Director of the Year Awards. This new award recognises the most ethical, socially responsible or green business leaders in Scotland and the UK.
Martin is responsible for devising and delivering the organisation’s sustainability strategy, supported by a team which includes full time in-house environmental advisor Amy Ledger. The result has been to minimise the company’s carbon footprint and protect and enhance its local community, whilst providing customers with solutions that enable them to reach their own sustainability targets.
CEO David Ritchie said: “Martin’s dedication is outstanding, continuously pushing the boundaries and demonstrating that a well-conceived sustainability strategy can be key to a successful and growing company.”
Winners of the IoD Scotland 2020 Director of the Year Awards are set to be announced on 8 September at a prestigious presentation ceremony at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Glasgow, pending social distancing guidelines.
