The FIT Show 2023 has received praise from Gareth Jones Chairman of the Association of Composite Door Manufacturers (ACDM). While celebrating the overall success of the tradeshow, Gareth emphasised the critical need for manufacturers to elevate their standards in quality and service to meet consumer expectations.

As well as an array of hardware suppliers, the show also underscored the continued upward trajectory of smart technology in the industry, he said, with hardware suppliers presenting cutting-edge advancements such as smart locks, access control systems, and integration with home automation platforms.

The trade show witnessed a strong presence of aluminium suppliers, including two notable Spanish businesses. Their participation highlighted their keen observation of the growth of aluminium in the UK market. Historically, aluminium has faced challenges with regards to thermal efficiency. However, Gareth emphasised that significant advancements have been made.

Gareth, pictured, left, at the show, also highlighted that the FIT Tradeshow provided an ideal platform to bridge the gap between manufacturers and installers. Speaking on a panel at the event, he emphasised the importance of improving quality building consumer confidence and competence within the industry. He highlighted that ACDM membership plays a pivotal role in driving standards and quality, thereby raising the bar for manufacturers and enhancing the overall reputation of the composite door industry.
