Senior Architectural Systems supplied the aluminium fenestration package for a new phase of the Royal Arsenal riverside development in London with a new ten-storey apartment building on a brownfield site that once housed some of the munitions factories that gave the area its name.

. Appropriately named Royal Arsenal Riverside, the site comprises a mix of new build residential, retail, and commercial elements alongside the sympathetic refurbishment of several listed buildings.

The new building has been constructed to work in harmony with one of the existing Grade II listed buildings.

The mix of old and new, and residential and commercial, was harmonised with the use of Senior’s SF52 curtain wall system and SPW600 aluminium windows. The curtain walling screens also incorporate feature curved heads along the spine of the building to pay homage to the scheme’s industrial heritage.

The project was designed by architects Corstorphine & Wright for Berkeley Homes and is one of the latest London based contacts to be undertaken by Senior in collaboration with supply chain partner Soundcraft.
