Smart Architectural Aluminium used the Futurebuild exhibition to launch its new Signature door as part of its established Designer Door range.

Managing director Eddie Robinson said: “The Signature Door range perfectly complements our existing product portfolio, enabling us to offer customers an even wider range of options and to give more homeowners the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a high quality aluminium entrance door.

“This development also opens up new opportunities for our fabricator and installer partners, providing them with a superior quality aluminium entrance door which can compete with other materials.”

Also unveiled at the exhibition were a new opening vent for the Aliver roof light system, additions to Smart’s Alitherm 400 window and door system and two new Visoglide sliding doors.

The first of these, InVisoglide, features a new bonded glazing system which provides enhanced security and extremely slim profiles. The sliding sashes are bonded in Smart’s state-of-the-art factory and supplied ready to install on site. The bonding process enables slim profiles to be used, as well as all four sides of the outer frame to be concealed in the aperture.

The second addition, Thermaglide adds a highly energy efficient option to the range, achieving u-values of 1.4W/m²K with a 1.0W/m²K centre pane and 1.16W/m²K with a 0.7W/m²K centre pane.  In keeping with the slim lines and elegant aesthetics of the entire Visoglide range, the new Thermaglide door features perimeter sightlines of just 115mm, with the option of a 20mm interlock profile.
