Distinction Doors has introduced its new website, which the company says responds to customer feedback and changes in consumer online habits, post-pandemic, with a simplified message and a consistent tone of voice.

In the product pages, each door range – nxt-gen, Signature, Contemporary and Fire Doors –  has its own page section with a brief introduction, a product and a lifestyle image, and a View Range button. Once the visitor hits the button, a new page opens revealing the features and benefits associated with the range.

Below this is a gallery of the door styles, each one is named and numbered with the Distinction Doors reference code, for ease.  Within the product pages there is also a filter option.

Each door style is then linked to the company’s door-designer tool. The door-designer is also accessed via the header.

Distinction has boosted the volume of its web content, most notably with an ‘inspiration landing page’. Including hints and tips from the Distinction Doors design experts, this page encourages consumers to explore the offering.  Website visitors can click between ‘Ask the Experts’, ‘Door Styles’, ‘Colour Range’, ‘Glass Styles’ and ‘Tips & Tricks’. These sections include long-form content which provides valuable information to the reader.  The home page also includes a gallery feed to social media.

The showroom locator has been upgraded. Contact details and website link are available for each specialist Distinction Doors retailer. Plus, each one has a view on map function with access to directions, all without leaving the site.

Web visitors can ‘Request our brochure’ in the footer of any web page by simply submitting their email address.

While the new site is designed for and targets the consumer, Distinction Doors is still connecting with its trade customers. Accessed through the header bar and menu, the Trade page provides information for new and potential trade customers.  Existing customers can also click for the online ordering platform.

Marketing and communications manager Bethaney Larkman said: “As the UK’s largest supplier of composite doors, it is important that we respond to changes in consumer habits so we can best support our customers and our customer’s customers.  This is one of the reasons why we have chosen to invest in a new website.  It has been designed and developed to appeal to consumers and will therefore create consumer pull for our customers.  We are excited to see the opportunities it will bring in 2023 and beyond.”
