The Glass & Glazing Federation has reinstated its annual Members’ Day, which this year will take place on 28th September 2022 at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester, home of Manchester City FC.

Members are invited to join a Stadium Tour from 11.00, with registration for the formal programme from 11.30 with the programme itself starting at 13.00, with an opening address by President Tony Smith.

Guest speakers include Dave Dalton, CEO of British Glass, and Jade Lewis, chief executive of the Sustainable Energy Association. Presentations by GGF Group officers include Dave Mechem, Head of RISA, on a potential solution to the controversy surrounding trickle vents, while the GGF’s John Mannell will bring members up to date on the Skilled Pathways Scheme, that is designed to provide solutions to the skills gap.

GGF chief development officer Anda Gregory will be providing insights in to the GGF strategy for the next five years and the increased value to be provided to members.

Members are also invited to attend the evening reception at the nearby Football Museum.

GGF Managing Director John Agnew says this year’s Members’ Day is the most important for many years: “The pandemic coincided with one of the GGF’s most significant periods of change, improvement, development, and growth, so there is a great deal for us to discuss at this year’s Members’ Day.

“It also therefore promises to be the most dynamic and rewarding for members to attend, with a packed programme. And also of course, a long overdue opportunity to network with others sharing similar concerns and goals, at a time when we all continue to be tested as businesspeople.”
